Crashes WP - White screen on homepage load

We recently migrated our WP site to a new host and did a fresh install of WP and all site contents and plugins, including an FTP install of TubePress and supporting JS apps. Everything works great except for TubePress Pro which when activated will cause our homepage to load just a blank white screen. If we disable the plugin, the site loads properly. We paid for the pro version and are relying on it to display our site's video media gallery. The plugin worked fine before. How can we debug this ASAP? Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

Thanks for contacting us and thanks for your question.

The “White Screen of Death” (WSOD) typically means that PHP hit a fatal error somewhere within TubePress. In the majority of cases we see in this regard, the problem is due to incorrect server requirements 1, and in particular it’s often due to the presence of the APC extension. So the first thing I would do is verify that your web server meets TubePress’s requirements, and check to make sure that the APC extension is not present 2. Your hosting provider should be able to assist you with this.

The next thing I would do is check your PHP (or web server) error logs, as WSOD errors are usually logged somewhere. Your hosting provider should be able to point you to the location of the log. Once you have access to the log, feel free to send it to us via a ticket 3 and we’ll be glad to inspect it for the exact error message.

The good news is that we are virtually always able to diagnose and solve these types of issues. Please feel free to respond here or open a ticket and we’ll be glad to help you along the way.

Thanks
