Reset autopost

Hi there,

I have a problem with TubePress and permalinks. It creates something like this "Hello there (1:01)" instead of "hello-there-101" which returns page not found because WP does not recognize the slug. But I added a function to overwrite this, but it will work only for new videos.

How can I reset this? So all videos are created again

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for getting in touch and we’ll be glad to assist.

There’s currently no way to manually “reset” the posts/pages created by Auto Post, but deleting them entirely will allow TubePress to regenerate them. If you do decide to delete the posts/pages, please be sure to empty the WordPress trash (otherwise, TubePress won’t regenerate anything).

If you’d like us to investigate this issue further, would you be able to give us an example of a video that results in an incorrect slug? A link to a page on your site would work, or just the YouTube/Vimeo video URL.

TubePress doesn’t actually generate the slugs for the posts/pages; it simply supplies a title as part of the post generation and relies on WordPress to create the slug. You can see the code around line 329 of tubepress_pro_5_1_5/src/add-ons/pro-wordpress/classes/tubepress/pro/wordpress/impl/listeners/media/AutoPostMediaListener.php.

Thanks, and please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you!
