The TubePress Content Directory

The "TubePress Content Directory" is a special directory located alongside your TubePress installation. The purpose of this directory is to store any customizations (add-ons, themes, or low-level configuration) that you make to TubePress. Since it does not change between TubePress versions, it's "upgrade safe."

Location

• For WordPress users, the TubePress Content Directory is always located at wp-content/tubepress-content. In most cases, TubePress auto-creates this directory when you activate TubePress for the first time.
   
• For standalone PHP users, the location of the TubePress Content Directory is up to you, and you tell TubePress where it's located during initial setup and when adding TubePress to any PHP page.
   

Contents

The TubePress Content Directory may contain zero or more of the following immediate subdirectories:

• themes which may contain themes that aren't shipped with TubePress
   
• add-ons which may contain add-ons that aren't shipped with TubePress
   
• config which may contain low-level configuration for TubePress such as settings.php and/or database.json
