Thanks for getting in touch. From what you’ve described, it sounds like you are using a very old version of TubePress. As this blog post 1 from 2015 explains, anyone running versions of TubePress older than 4.1.0 were affected by YouTube’s shutdown of their version 2 API. For this reason, we’d highly recommend removing your current installation of TubePress and replacing it with the latest version of TubePress; you can do so by following this series of setup docs 2. (We’ve also reviewed and updated the YouTube API setup instructions; thanks!)
Please let us know if you have any questions; we are here to help!
I’m so sorry for any confusion we inadvertently caused. It is not our intent to trick or deceive anyone in any way.
We do have a notice in the WordPress plugin directory that states that we no longer provide updates or support there. We are considering re-entering the wordpress.org plugin market in the future, but don’t have an ETA at this time.
We do offer a free trial version of our WordPress plugin. However, it’s limited to 3 videos in a gallery. This doc 1 will get you started on either the free or premium plugin.
As mentioned previously, we also offer a full 30-day trial of our cloud-hosted service here 2.
Again, apologies for any misunderstanding. If there is anything we can do to assist, please let us know.
