Thanks for your question and yes, this should be possible. TubePress galleries will, by default, automatically rearrange the video thumbnails to best fit the surrounding container. So in your case you could create the columns, then inside each column add a TubePress gallery to display the corresponding search results. Since the columns will be “narrow”, TubePress will display one video thumbnail (and title, runtime, etc) per “row” in the column. This should simulate a grid very nicely (even though you’ve actually only created columns). Does that make sense?
I should note that this level of customization is much better suited for TubePress Pro, our WordPress plugin, as it currently offers better integration and theming capabilities.
